Other forms of Identity Theft
Roro1958

i know evryone is concerned about identity theft, but please understand no on has to steal your drivers license, credit cards or anything like that.  My fiancee is an example of identity theft.  Someone he knew in the past used his name when he got arrested (in three different states) and now because of this, my fiancee has a criminal records that he cannot get rid of.  He has lost his chance to purchase a gun to hunt with, he has lost his rights to vote and he is now being threatened with losing his CDL (which is his livliehood).  Do not think that credit identity theft is the only thing out there.  unless someone does a criminal records or background check on you for a job, you will never know is someone has used your name during a time of arrest.  The guy who used my fiancess's name is in a state prison under my fiancee's name and we cannot get any help from anyone to corrrect this.  We have tried to hire an attorney but without lots of money they do not want to talk to you.  I have spoken to everyone in this state from the Governor down and still they refuse to help.  So please watch (if you can) you background as far as any criminal activity on it.  Oh...by the way, you cannot get a criminal background doen on yourself, unless you are being arrested, seeking employment or you get lucky and find out through the internet that you are sitting in a state prison.
