Unemployment Fraud Stats in the States - 11/27/2007

So far this year, 17,930 Americans were caught by State officials committing unemployment fraud, that is unlawfully claiming benefits they were not entitled. Officials at the Employment Security Department have reported individuals fraudulently collected $11.9 million in unemployment benefits, and attempted to collect another $6.5 million in fraud.
